Use Tree

Use Tree allows you to view all places that assets, instances, templates, and program blocks are used in the system.

  1. Click on the desired button from the main navigation
  2. Right click on a card from the flyout
  3. From the contextual menu, select Use Tree

4. In the Use Tree dialog, click on any of the top level nodes view its child nodes

5. Click on a child node to view the play out schedule

6. The play out schedule shows the following info:

  • Program Block Name

  • Scheduled Start Date and Time

  • Scheduled End Date and Time

 

The use tree will differ slightly based on what type of asset has been selected in terms of what information will be available.

Template Tree

Top level listings for a Template will be the Template itself. When expanded, the template will show the following items:

  • Instances – expanding contains either a list of instances that have been created for the template, or “none” if no instances exist

  • Images – expanding contains a list of all images used in all instances for the template, or “none” if no images have been assigned

  • Video – expanding contains a list of all video used in all instances for the template, or “none” if no images have been assigned

Instance Tree

Top level listing for an Instance will be the Instance itself. When expanded, the instance will show the following items:

  • Program Blocks – expanding contains either a list of program blocks to which the instance has been assigned, or “none” if it is not yet in use

  • Images – expanding contains a list of all images used in the instance, or “none” if no images have been assigned

  • Video – expanding contains a list of all video used in the instance, or “none” if no video has been assigned

Program Block Tree

Top level listing for a Program Block will be the block itself. When expanded, the block will show the following items:

  • Templates – expanding contains a list of all templates for all instances assigned to the block, or “none” if no instances are assigned

  • Collections – expanding contains a list of all collections assigned to the block, or “none” if no collections are assigned

    • Expanding a specific collection entry will display an Images item, which will expand to include all images for the collection, or “none” if no images exist.

    • In addition, it will also contain a Video item, which will expand to include all video for the collection, or “none” if no video exists.

  • Instances – expanding contains a list of all instances assigned to the block, or “none” if no instances are assigned

    • Expanding a specific instance will display an Images item, which will expand to include all images for the instance, or “none” if no images have been assigned

    • In addition, it will also contain a Video item, which will expand to include all video for the instance, or “none” if no video has been assigned

  • Images – expanding contains a list of all images assigned directly to the block, or “none” if no images are directly assigned

  • Video – expanding contains a list of all video assigned directly to the block, or “none” if no video has been directly assigned.

Image/Video Tree

The top level item for this tree will be the media item itself. Expanding this item will include the following items:

  • Templates – expanding this item will include a list of all templates that use this media as static content, or “none” if not used as static content.

  • Instances – expanding this item will include a list of all instances that use this media as zone-based content, or “none” if the item is not used anywhere

  • Collections – expanding this item will include a list of all collections that use this media, or “none” if the item is not used anywhere

  • Program Blocks – expanding this item will include a list of all program blocks that directly use this media, or “none” if the item is not used anywhere

Collections Tree

The top level item for this tree will be the collection itself. Expanding this item will include the following items:

  • Images – expanding this item will include a list of all images used in the collection, or “none” if no images are used
  • Video – expanding this item will include a list of all videos used in the collection or “none” if no videos are used
